The Awakened Business imageI left my marriage, along with the business and life we built together, in 2018.

For a couple years, I coasted. We sold the business and I started feeling into the new life that was mine.

Just as the pandemic hit, I started “getting serious” about what I was doing with The Awakened Business.

Back then, it looked very different from today.

THEN looked like this:

  • 1:1 Personal Breakthrough Interventions
  • Wildspire Messaging (six week program)
  • The Play Circle membership
  • Writing about (Un)Marketing, messaging and spiritual teaching stories

I was a business coach who used the NLP tools like Timeline Therapy and Parts Integration to help people get rid of limiting beliefs. But I had stopped trying to change my own beliefs after realizing they were thoughts (!!!) that didn’t need changing. I wondered if I should quit my belief change work altogether – but then what would I do?

My work was shifting. Less strategy and more story. Less pressure, more play.

NOW looks like this:

  • 2 ½ Day Coaching Magic Immersions (on the beach!)
  • The IMPACT Creators membership
  • Love Money: Healing Your Relationship With Money course
  • Daily writing about my spiritual and business journey

I wouldn’t really call myself a business coach anymore.

I’m a transformative coach who happens to work with entrepreneurs because I love the creativity of business. These days, our conversations are more likely to focus on relationships and the nature of god/life than business strategy.

I’ve dropped the old tools I used to rely on. The work now is simpler and quieter. I listen more. Trust more. Love more, and do far less.

This shift has meant rediscovering how to talk about what I do, too, because deep transformation doesn’t make for a polished elevator pitch.

But the flavor of being me is unmistakeable. It’s a bit spicy and possibly an acquired taste, but one I’m learning to savor.

When you go on the adventure of discovering yourself, it’s a mysterious ride. You can’t predict what will fall away and what will emerge in its place. But the feeling of Home gets stronger. The feeling of being you becomes your guide.

I never would have dreamed I’d be living in Portugal, coaching the way I do. I actually resisted the idea of becoming a transformative coach for years. I thought I was a “business and message coach.”

But looking back, the me I am today was always there, expressing itself in large and small ways. Becoming.

This becoming was a shedding of everything I’d made up about who I should be…to reveal who I really am underneath.

The same is true for you.

Whether you’re standing on the precipice of a big change, or sitting in the rubble after one, you’re still here.

The adventure of a lifetime is uncovering the gorgeous you that has always been there.

Yours in love and play,

Steph
