There’s a certain kind of person who doesn’t separate their business from their heart. You can feel it in how they greet you, how they teach, how they listen and how they hold space.
In this podcast episode, I talk with Sherryl Perry, a longtime yoga teacher, Pilates instructor, and wellness guide who has built a yoga and massage business that is less about strategy and more about presence, devotion, and embodied leadership.
What struck me in our conversation is how Sherryl approaches heart-centered entrepreneurship not as something to “figure out,” but as a spiritual practice, one that unfolds slowly, honestly, and in deep relationship with real human beings.
There’s a quiet power in letting your business be love-in-action, rather than a performance or a hustle. Sherryl is living that power.
This episode is for anyone who has ever stood in front of a dream that felt too big, too uncertain, or too impossible — and wondered if love could really be enough to build something real.
Spoiler alert:
It is.
Here’s some of what we explore in our conversation:
- The subtle shift that turned Sherryl’s teaching from “leading a class” into holding sacred space.
- The surprising moment she realized her yoga and massage business was actually a spiritual path disguised as work.
- What happens when you stop marketing yourself and start inviting people into relationship instead.
- The business lesson Sherryl learned through grief, illness, and uncertainty (the one most entrepreneurs skip over).
- A small daily choice that slowly transforms your work into a steady transmission of love.

A Home That Felt Like a Spiritual Business Sanctuary
The day Sherryl stepped onto the property, something in her just knew.
The land, the light, the shape of the rooms, this was the place her yoga and massage business, her retreats, her healing work had been quietly dreaming into form. It felt destined to be. A sacred space for service.
And then, her partner and co-creator of the business chose to leave the marriage. What followed was not only heartbreak, but a legal and emotional struggle where the future of the property itself was uncertain.
Listening Beneath the Noise: The Spiritual Shift
“Each tiny aligned step is like walking across stones. You feel the pressure, but the path holds you.”- Sherryl Perry
In the middle of the chaos, Sherryl realized that pushing, planning and attempting to “fix” the situation only amplified her suffering.
There was another way. Quiet. Breath. Like the next true step, instead of a strategy.
She began asking: What would love do here?
Sometimes the answer was small:
Make a cup of coffee instead of spiraling.
Offer presence instead of defensiveness.
Ask for help (the hardest one of all). Let herself be supported rather than proving she could handle it.
Miracles in Business (That Don’t Look Like Lightning Strikes)
“I had to let go of control, and then the abundance appeared in ways I couldn’t have imagined.” – Sherryl Perry
The support appeared. Quietly, unexpectedly, then undeniably.
A family member stepped forward with an offer she never imagined.
Friends and community showed up in ways that felt orchestrated.
Negotiations softened.
A path opened.
Not because she forced it…but because she stopped forcing everything.
This is spiritual business at its most real:
Miracles often happen through everyday actions performed in love, devotion, and presence.
The Heart of the Lesson: Business as a Lifelong Practice of Love
“Lead with compassion—let it precede your thoughts, your actions. Start with yourself.” – Sherryl Perry
What unfolded was not really about the house. It’s about the profound possibility that:
Business can be a vehicle of love.
Support is not weakness; it’s wisdom.
The “impossible” may simply mean we haven’t found alignment yet.
Sherryl’s story opens the door to a living question: What happens when we let business be human again?
This episode is an invitation to step out of force and into trust.
