a teared discovery call note If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you already know what the DragonHeart Portal Sessions were.

Maybe you bought one. Or perhaps you watched the experiment unfold from the peanut gallery.

Here’s the jist of the DragonHeart Portal Sessions Experiment:

I ran an experiment to see if I could get people to pay me for an “enrollment conversation” that most coaches give away for free.

It wasn’t a trick or a gimmick. Even though rebelling against the norms did make me giggle with delight.

The intention was to have the conversation I really wanted to have with people, one that was genuinely valuable for both of us. Valuable for me, because it naturally lends itself to client creation. Valuable for the other person, because it creates clarity, direction, and momentum.

What I haven’t revealed to you yet is that I’m writing a full behind-the-scenes autopsy of that experiment for Revenue Rulebreaker, and it’s scheduled for publishing later this month.

I’ll include all the juicy details such as:

  • Why I decided to charge $25 for a conversation most coaches give away for free.
  • What wasn’t working for me about traditional discovery calls, even though I’m good at them.
  • What surprised me emotionally, energetically, and financially.
  • My insights about what this experiment reveals about consent, value, and desire in business right now.

What I want you to know, especially if you participated, is this:

The experiment worked because you showed up the way you did.

People arrived for these conversations present and curious. They were willing to engage in a real conversation.

And for me, something was unleashed.

Having the conversation I actually wanted to have, the way I wanted to have it, unleashed an energy I didn’t know I was holding back.

The Revenue Rulebreaker piece will share the numbers and the outcomes, but what I care about most is naming the deeper pattern underneath it all.

So many of us are stuck in a cycle of proving our value before we’re allowed to be paid.

But paying can be a vehicle of transformation for both you and your client.

Sales conversations can be honest, clean and valuable for all parties, no matter the outcome.

This experiment deepened my understanding about the value of sales conversations that come from a foundation of genuine service and respect.

I’ll share the piece once it’s live. Until then, I just wanted you to know that what we co-created
together didn’t disappear into the ether. It’s becoming part of a larger conversation that I hope will transform our misunderstandings about selling.

More coming soon!

Yours in love and play,
