The “feral dragon” metaphor#1 – Selling only feels bad when you feel bad about it. (And that’s optional.)

#2 – Selling is discovering if it’s a match. Full stop.

#3 – When selling is helping people get what they already actually want, it’s easy. If you’re trying to convince them, it’s like trying to tame a feral dragon (aka hellish and near impossible).

#4 – You learned how to sell as a kid:

  • Ask.
  • Get an answer.
  • Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

#5 – Selling can feel weird. Offering something that might help feels natural.

#6 – Asking with attachment feels awful. Asking without attachment feels clean.

#7 – If you don’t wnat to feel fake when you sell…don’t be fake.

#8 – You don’t need confidence to sell. You just need to make the invitation.

#9 – If you want a business, you’ll need to sell. You can resist it, or get better at it.

#10 – Being real, clear, and yourself is the best sales strategy.

Which one of these hit you?
