4 people talking each other over cups of coffee

Last week I shared how moved I was after completing the 90 Day Pantheon community experiment.

One participant described it this way:

“It’s not a space for tips, action steps or productivity hacks, yet you may come away feeling inspired to take action and be more productive than you thought you could.”

It’s weird, right?

You gather for space and connection – not hacks or accountability tricks – and yet you somehow leave with more momentum than when you arrived.

In fact, this same participant shared:

“I finally created the six week course I’ve been thinking about for a long time and it took me just a fraction of time and effort that I thought it would.”

It reminds me of an email I received from my friend Deanna Seymour of the Playhouse community.

In it, Deanna talked about the real reason she created the community and what she really gets out of it, especially when she “feels powerless against this whirlwind of bullsh*t in the world these days.”

Connection.

Real human connection is what she needs, and what she believes we all need right now.

Then she said something that made me laugh:

“But The Playhouse is for business owners, so I’m told I can’t lead with that.

Writing a sales page or an email about hanging out with friends doesn’t solve the problem of making more money in your business.

The economy sucks. People need clients.Talk about the OUTCOME.”

Apparently, talking about friendship, belonging, and hanging out with humans isn’t considered a compelling business outcome.

You’re supposed to talk about revenue. Clients. Growth. How To Get Results. 💲💲

When the world keeps screaming about how we need to move faster, do more, create more content, sell more stuff…

It looks like the techniques and systems and life hacks are just what we need to crank out a little more so we can finally break through and achieve our goals.

But all that does is keep us on the hamster wheel.

I’m not saying there aren’t actions to be taken. Of course, there are.

There are bills to pay and client conversations to have, promotional emails to write and offers to create.

But doing that from a busy mind that’s running on caffeine, sugar and screen-time dopamine hits is neither enjoyable or effective.

A relaxed mind does its best work.

An open mind gets creative ideas.

Here’s the thing:

Something in us knows what we really need.

Connection. Being seen. The time and space to show down and listen to ourselves.

That’s the thing that’s missing for most people. Slowing down to simply be without ourselves and others.

It’s why connecting in community is so powerful.

Every time I create spaces like that, whether it’s Pantheon, a Portal conversation, or simply a meaningful conversation over coffee, the same thing happens.

People get clearer. They relax.
The noise settles and then they know what to do. Not because somebody told them, but because they can finally hear themselves.

I get that the quick fix and proven formulas for growing your business are easy to sell. They appeal to the little mind that believes the solution is in the next better idea/teacher/strategy.

But honestly, that’s not where your dragon’s bread is buttered.

Something magical happens when we connect with other real humans.

Stuff gets done without pressure or forcing, and we come back to what life is really about.

A connected human remembers who they are.

That’s what I’m standing for these days.

Not productivity for productivity’s sake or optimization as a lifestyle, but creating enough space for what’s inside you to emerge.

And strangely enough…

…that’s often when the most meaningful action happens.

If you’ve been trying to solve a life or business challenge through sheer force of will, perhaps what you need isn’t another tactic.

Perhaps you need space.

That’s exactly what the DragonHeart Portal conversations are for.

A place to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with what you already know. (3 spots left this month.)
