A client brought a question to our session:
How can I make sure I’m focusing on the actions in my business that will make the biggest difference?
We talked about the practical bits: the 80/20 rule, what’s already working, the direction she’s headed.
But underneath it all was an old habit of thought saying:
You’re not doing enough. You have to work harder.
The funny thing is, this client is one of the most conscientious people I know.
She’s fanatical about delivering results for clients, keeps meticulous tracking, has clearly mapped out the direction of her business, and also happens to be one of the most responsible dog moms I know.
This is not someone drifting through life in a cloud of denial and unpaid invoices.
She has the high standards, follow through, and the results to show for it.
But those stories were driving her with guilt (not doing enough) and frustration (I can’t do what I want because of my responsibilities) neither of which have any connection to the reality of her situation.
Neither thought even close to an accurate description of her life.
They were just familiar narrators, sounding the alarm and demanding she run faster.
From where I sit, I can see something else.
I see a woman who is aligned, capable, and already moving forward. I see someone who knows more than she thinks she knows.
I see clarity emerging, not because she needs to force it into existence, but because it is already there beneath the noise.
That is one of the things I love most about this work.
The most valuable thing I can offer isn’t a strategy, life hack or advice.
It is seeing what’s already going right.
I’m not talking about believing in someone in a “You’ve got this!” cheerleader kind of way.
I can often see the wisdom, resilience, and direction already unfolding in someone’s life before they can see it for themselves. Their attention is simply tangled up with thoughts telling them otherwise.
When I see it, they can feel it, and eventually, they start to see it, too.
When you begin living life from the best in you, your entire experience is different. You trust yourself to handle whatever comes.
You can play a bigger game because you’re built to weather every storm and recover from every setback.
Would you like to have a glimpse of this for yourself?
I have availability for 3 DragonHeart Portal conversations this month.
Bring your questions and doubts. We’ll make space to see what’s actually true beneath the noisy dictator in your head.
