Last week, I hosted a magical in-person immersive with a client in New York City.
We adventured in Central Park, ate yogurt parfaits and chia pudding, and wandered amongst the 843 acres, marveling at the miracle of gorgeous nature in the middle of the thriving city.
We talked and walked, and attended a Reiki sound healing session where crystal bowls and rainwater maracas.
I watched my client soften and transform.
By our final day, she was the most relaxed I’d ever seen her, clear about what she wants in life, and unhurried about what’s next. Her energy had completely shifted.
In every immersive, a theme emerges. We get to the heart of what needs to shift to welcome the money, the freedom or the clarity. In every case, it’s a simple misunderstanding. Once seen, the transformation happens naturally.
I’ve fallen in love with these Coaching Magic adventures in the wild. There’s so much space and room for surprises!
This week, nature gave us metaphors aplenty with “stuck” turtles, effortlessly gorgeous trees and rats appearing in broad daylight. My client would describe the scene, with clear wisdom delivering the perfect message for her life.
We sat on a bench and experimented with connecting to nature and the people passing by. It felt lovely.
“Everyone is looking at us!” my client said.
And they were. A simple intention to connect, and people could feel it. Our eyes would meet, a smile.
Pure magic.
It wasn’t just this client experience that made for a magical week. I was living in New York City with my companion, Bear, navigating subways, trains and city blocks.
Bear, official NYC guide and professional snuggler
A year ago, the idea of a solo trip to NYC would have terrified me. But I said yes to the adventure, knowing that I’d have everything necessary to navigate it.
On my first day in the city, a miracle occurred.
I took Bear with me on a walk to meet a friend. A few blocks in, I noticed that the credit card in my pocket was missing.
Ready to write it off – how could I expect to find my card on the busy streets of New York City? – I didn’t want to be late for my meeting. But I stopped to ask life for help finding it.
Something nudged me to backtrack to the spot where I’d seen a man struggling with a bag of trash. A bottle had fallen out, and I’d bent over to pick it up. Perhaps it was then my card had slipped out of my pocket?
When I returned to the place, the man was still there. He hadn’t seen my card. I looked around and found nothing.
I backtracked further and my eyes were drawn to the sidewalk where my credit card was waiting.
It must have fallen from my pocket just before the man with the trash, and if I hadn’t had that interaction as a marker, I never would have known where to look.
“I found my card!” I told the man. “I’m going to say you helped it happen.”
That moment felt like a message: life is always conspiring to support us.
People say New Yorkers are cold and reserved, but I experienced something different. Help offered and help received. One night I paid a stranger’s subway fare when he was 90 cents short. He gave me the cash and I used my card to get him through the turnstile.
These simple moments of connection remind me of who we really are.
Now I have lived and worked in London, Los Angeles, and New York City. And while millions do it, I’m proud of myself.
Fear is no longer driving my life. Sure, he shows up and puts on his scary song and dance from time to time. But I’m onto his game.
I choose to live fearlessly.
If you’d love a custom 2 ½ day adventure to shake loose the fear, dissolve the stuckness and tune into your soul’s guidance for your life and business, I’d love to co-create it with you.
Some of my favorite retreat spots:
- The beaches of the Algarve, Portugal
- Sunny St. Pete, Florida
- Los Angeles or Santa Barbara, California
- Or another mutually joyful US location (in November?)

This is a beautiful way to immerse yourself in presence, reconnect with what’s true, and come home to the powerful, playful creator you are.
Yours in love and play,
