When I was a child, my life felt tumultuous and uncertain. We moved a lot. I carried a lot of anxiety, and I couldn’t always count on the adults around me to be there.
So I developed a kind of superpower.
I discovered that when I smiled—when I really saw someone’s brilliance and reflected it back to them—they liked me. Sometimes, they even loved me.
It wasn’t just flattery. It was a true seeing, and they felt it.
But underneath that truth was a desperate need for them to receive me so that I could feel safe. That’s where it got messy.
As I grew older, this ability stayed with me. I could see people deeply. I could influence them. But when I was using that power to get something—approval, love, belonging—it started to feel… unclean. Manipulative, even.
Eventually, I stopped using it because I couldn’t trust it anymore. I was too scared to have the kind of power that could hurt people.
But now, I’ve returned to it with a different understanding.
When I’m speaking from my soul to the soul of another, without agenda, it’s a soul-to-soul connection. It wakes people up to what they really are, and it isn’t about me or my needs anymore. It’s about us.
It’s about what we really are.
I know how powerful it is to address not their personality or their psychology, but the eternal part of them. And that’s what talks back to me. That’s what looks back at me through their eyes,
And when you do this in your business—when you speak soul-to-soul with the people you’re here to serve—it changes everything.
