I’m thrilled to be hosting The Money Map workshop next week.
I’d love for everyone to have the experience of seeing the path to a fully funded joy-filled life mapped out before them.
But here’s what I realized today:
There are some people I really don’t want there.
It’s nothing personal, but it’s true.
This workshop is only for people who actually desire more money in their lives. If you’re not into creating more money, this just isn’t for you.
Now at first that seems ridiculous. Who wouldn’t like some more cash in the bank, right?
But if you find yourself saying things like…
“I’m not in it for the money.”
“I don’t want to think about money.”
“Money isn’t important to me.”
…then it’s a clear signal that you’re not interested in creating more money. In fact, you may be shutting down opportunities for it to show up, without even knowing it.
This workshop is for people who are in the game of creating money – in ways that feel inspiring, authentic and exciting – and who are happy to admit it.
One thing I’ve seen even more clearly in the past year, is that receiving money requires providing value. It’s not optional; it’s the natural order of things.
That means all that old programming about money being somehow bad, evil or wrong is just off.
Money is an indicator of a valuable service delivered. To me, that’s something worth inviting more of into our lives. Receiving money isn’t in conflict with doing good in the world; in fact, it’s actually part of the journey.
