I completed the last and final intensive of the Awakeners program last weekend, attending via livestream from Portugal.
How was it, you may ask?
Mindblowingly life-changing. No exaggeration. I’m still in the midst of these revelations, and will write more about them soon.
Today, I’d like to tell you a story about something that shouldn’t have worked, but did. I shall call it:
The Assignment That Should Have Been a Train Wreck
We Awakeners were split into four groups, and given a 30 minute window to present on one of our previous themes: Beyond Ego, Beyond Fear, Beyond Psychology or Beyond Success.
My group, the Beyond Psychology Players, consisted of three people in LA and two of us on Zoom, in different time zones. We got 45 minutes of meeting time to come up with a plan. Any other coordination had to happen on the fly.
Other than the topic, we could do anything we wanted.
Everyone had ideas. A few people were particularly loud and insistent about them. They were excited, talking over each other, trying to pull it together.
This could have easily turned into a train wreck, but something beautiful happened instead.
Now before I tell you how it went, I want to share what stood out to me in the process:
It matters deeply to me that everyone’s vision is included in a collective creation.
I didn’t care so much what we came up with, so long as each person felt themselves in the mix.
So I found myself stepping into the role of conductor. Listening, weaving and making sure every voice had space.
J played our “main character,” a guy with the dream of being a rockstar.
He got to perform “Time of Your Life,” by Green Day live.
K played the therapist determined to “fix him” for a hefty fee.
She wore goofy glasses and poked fun at psychology.
M was our narrator.
She guided the story with warmth and humor.
R (via zoom) played the voice of J’s psychology.
She got to act out the craziness of our inner dialogue.
And I played the Voice of Wisdom.
I got to share the clear, simple whisper beneath the noise, and lead us in sharing from the heart.
How did it go?
It wasn’t perfect. We broke character and cracked ourselves up. We improvised wildly.
It was messy and alive and utterly delightful.
The overall result was funny, poignant, moving and surprisingly profound. (Michael and the entire room agreed!)
This is the kind of magic I want to create with you.
I love drawing out the desires of individuals and weaving them into a harmonious, collective expression that feels like us.
That’s the energy I’m bringing to the new Pantheon membership.
I’m not the Leader telling you what to do.
We’re co-creators, each contributing our spark to a roaring bonfire. Everyone is invited to bring their full selves to the party, because the fire just isn’t the same without you.
Pantheon will be a place where you get to bring ALL of you, and be held in a space that feels like home, without needing to own it.
It’s coming.
If you want to be part of the first to step inside…
