“How do I create a movement that transforms the world for the better?”

That’s a big question.

It’s one I hear often from the kinds of people who tend to find me. They don’t just see their work as a way to make money. They see it as a way to make a real difference in the world. Sometimes even as their
life calling.

So I want to answer that question in two ways.

First, we have to ask: what do we actually mean by “a movement”? And how would we know it’s making the world better?

There’s a question I often ask people when they’re trying to clarify what they really want their life to stand for.

I dream of a world where ______.

How would you finish that sentence?

Usually the answer comes quickly, and it tells us a lot.

Maybe it’s a world where everyone laughs more.

Maybe it’s a world where grief is welcomed instead of hidden.

Maybe it’s a world where everyone has enough food to eat.

There isn’t one right answer. There are probably as many answers as there are people on this planet.

So if you really want to create a movement that transforms the world for the better, start there.

What world do you dream of?

Then begin somewhere small. Right where you are.

If you dream of a world where grief is held with care, maybe you reach out to someone who’s grieving and sit with them.

If it’s a world where people are nourished, maybe you volunteer at a soup kitchen. Or bake brownies for your neighbor.

If it’s a world where people laugh more, maybe you take an improv class.
Start with what moves you.

That brings me to the second way to answer this question.

Follow what lights you up.

Your joy. Your creativity. Your expression.

This is already a movement that makes the world better.

I had a conversation with a client today who’s doing some beautiful work in the world. I told her,
“People are lucky to have you. The world is lucky to have you.”

She said, “The world is already beautiful.”

And I agree.

Life is beautiful.

And it’s also true that the world becomes richer when you are in it fully expressing what you love. It ripples outward.

So if the idea of “creating a movement” feels intimidating, start smaller.

Start here.

Start now.

Start today.

That’s exactly what the DragonHeart Quest is about.

Create something you love.

Then give it away to someone who won’t be expecting it.

A drawing.

A kind note.

A homemade treat.

Most people discover there’s a surprising vulnerability in doing this. It takes a little courage to create something and be seen.

That’s the point.

Those small acts ripple outward.

And right now we’re aiming to spark 10,000 moments of joy through the DragonHeart Quest.

You can be part of that movement today.

Take the Quest.

Or, if you’re feeling bold, gather a few friends and host a DragonPod to do it together.

Start where you are. Create what you love. Offer it freely.

You might be surprised how far the spark travels.
