When you’re scrolling your Instagram feed watching videos of pole dancers…
(Well, when I do, anyway.)
You see the highlights. The perfect ballerina spins. The sassy flows with hip hop swag. The awe-inspiring aerial flips and drops.
You don’t see the hard work that went into it, and you don’t see the fails.
One thing I’ve had to learn is the art of falling.
Because when you’re upside down on a pole and you lose your grip, things can get ugly fast.
So here’s a little glimpse into me falling gently.

I think failing gracefully is an undervalued art.
We’re so fixated on winning and getting it right, but really, it’s the mistakes and the messups that make every achievement possible.
So I say…
Don’t just tolerate the messy mistakes. Celebrate them.
And maybe add a little flourish at the end just for fun.
What’s a recent stumble or imperfect action you’d like to celebrate?
Yours in love and play,
