Holy smokes. This week was all over the place!

For week 4 of my 30 Day Crazy Marketing Challenge, here’s what I did:

I listened to my Intuition every day and did what I “got” to do.

Some days that meant nothing. “Take a day off, Steph,” It said.

Other days, I was chatting up people online, writing stories, creating content, reaching out to “stretch” networking contacts on a whim…

I ended up inviting 3 people to conversations and scheduling only one of them. But I was a connecting machine!

My inspiration level was up and down and all around.

I had a couple VERY grumpy days.

I also had some big insights and ideas for clients and for myself.

There was no rhyme or reason to it that I can see.

My thoughts on this week, in no particular order.

#1 – Some days it’s easier to follow my intuition than others.

On an emotionally clear day, I might wake up knowing what to do.

On a cloudy day, I might not have a clue.

This week gave me examples of both. 🙂

Having regular goals and structure is helpful for those cloudy days because it gives me a place to start — but it’s okay to ditch the plan when Intuition says otherwise.

#2 – There’s no Rule to following your intuition.

These days I’m experiencing intuition as an “anti-process” process.

If there are any principles to follow, it’s these.

  • Let go of expectations and intentions.
  • When you’re struggling, STOP. Everything.
  • Play. Let your inspiration lead the way.
  • If you don’t know, that’s okay. Wait until you know.
  • If you do know, go with what you know.
  • Eventually, you’ll know.

Trust your intuition — even if it’s wrong.

Because the most important thing you can do is trust yourself.

#3 – It’s all okay. Really.

It’s okay to not know what to do and do nothing.

It’s okay to push yourself too hard and burn out.

It’s okay to give up.

Everything is necessary because it’s what’s happening. And the nature of thoughts and feelings is to CHANGE…when we don’t make it sticky by trying to resist it.

Coming Up Next…

I’m still integrating my learning from this experiment.

And the experiment will continue!
