He never could have predicted the life he has now and attributes it to following the flow of life and exploring the exciting possibilities that open up from living without expectations or agenda.

Here are a few highlights of my insights gleaned from our conversation:
When you let go of expectations, your path unfolds better than you could have dreamed. Martin began to lose interest in his finance career, and when he chose to let go of that and follow what attracted him, he found himself in Thailand, where he had amazing opportunities and landed a coaching job without planning any of it.
Remember that you don’t have to be in control of everything in your life to have a successful one. It’s not about going places or being in the right spot at the right time, but rather about following your intuition, even when it doesn’t make sense.

Finding meaning and purpose is about being part of something you believe in that’s bigger than yourself. When you find your passion in life, you meet more people and want to be around them, which expands your perspective and enjoyment of life.
Allow yourself to really live and enjoy your life. At a certain point, Martin was so in his head that he wasn’t really that good at what he was doing. The minute he quit overthinking, his abilities skyrocketed. It just shows that all you have to do is to show up, play the game and enjoy life.
You’re OK beneath all of that craziness. Everyone has their own plan and pace. It’s okay to be yourself; you don’t have to change for anyone else. Just go for it, live your life, and that makes the biggest difference.
Trust and follow what draws you. People will find their way into your life, and you’ll be attracted to people and opportunities without knowing why, and that’s perfect. When you follow the nudges, life happens in surprising and beautiful ways that are better than what you could have planned.
