wooden puzzleA few days ago, I put out an invitation: ask me anything, about business, writing, relationship, life, whatever.

This question came in, and so I shall answer it here.

“I’ve always been curious how it is that you were able to find yourself as a guest in the 3PGC Community as either a speaker or a moderator of the zoom calls?”

For context, 3PGC, the 3 Principles Global Community, is a spiritual organization devoted to sharing the understanding known as the 3 Principles, as discovered by Sydney Banks, with the world.

I’ve been a member and volunteer there since 2020. While I organize their free webinar series as a volunteer, I’ve also been invited to present to their global audience.

So how did it happen?

The short answer? I got invited.

The longer answer involves a series of seemingly random actions.

When I joined 3PGC, I filled out a form to be a volunteer and met Bonnie (who was wearing all the hats at the time.) I liked her. Something made me reach out to her for a chat, and we hit it off.

Afterwards, she asked if I would like to lead some grounding calls, and I said yes. Then she asked if I’d take over organizing the free webinar series, and again, I said yes.

As for speaking: at the time, 3PGC had a practitioner program. As a registered practitioner, I was invited to do free presentations. Even though that program no longer exists, I’m still on their approved speaker list, and I’ll actually be presenting another webinar next month.

This has given me some visibility in the 3 Principles community, but it wasn’t something I tried to make happen.

I just followed the nudges and did what occurred to me. I made myself available, and when the invitations came, I said yes.

If you’ve been wishing for opportunities like this, this isn’t a formula you can copy, but there is something you can do.

Follow your nudges.

That person you’ve been meaning to reach out to? Do it.

That thing you’ve been meaning to write about? Write it.

Desire points the way. It sets your inner compass to your now step, often towards places you couldn’t imagine.

Here’s what you don’t see:

Many of the actions I take that don’t seem to lead anywhere.

I reach out to countless people and make a ridiculous number of invitations to conversations, collaborations and play. Most of them fall flat. People either say no or don’t respond at all.

But I’ve come to learn that each action begets more action.

It’s like I’m playing a lifelong tennis volley with the universe. I serve; the universe hits something back. Over and over again.

Or as I said earlier this week, “You’ve gotta be in it, to win it.”

What if you just followed the spark?

Without needing it to get a result or mean anything. Without having to do it right.

It’s a lovely game to play.

Yours in love and play,

Steph
