Will you let me see how amazing you are?
I’m in conversation with a client today who’s talking about what he loves to do. He says:
“My vision is beautiful. It’s glorious. And people just light up hearing about it!”
I interrupt him.
“Do you know what that is? That’s you. You are beautiful and glorious, and when you light up, it sparks other people, too.”
I wasn’t just saying that because it’s what good coaches are supposed to say. I was seeing the truth of it in real time.
There’s nothing vainglorious about letting someone see you shine.
A rose doesn’t have a big ego when it opens into glorious blossom. It’s simply being what it is.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

On that note, I’m going to share some nice things people have said about me lately because I want to normalize being seen, recognized and witnessed as our naturally beautiful selves.
Nice thing #1:
A friend yesterday was having a tough time.
I told her what I saw: a beautiful heart overflowing with care and compassion for the world.
And she said to me, “Stephanie, you’re amazing. You really are.”
Nice thing #2:
After the Heart-Led Messaging Masterclass I taught for MamaJ’s Impact Activator community last week, she gave me this feedback:
“It was beyond my expectations!
Wow you were amazing and so impactful – I loved the Q&A with everybody crying!!”
Now having a room full of tears might be cause for concern in some circles, but this was people feeling seen, moved and connected. That’s special.
(You can watch the Heart-Led Messaging Masterclass here, by the way.)
I used to blush and squirm when people gave me positive feedback like this. Here’s what has changed…
It’s easier to hear kind words these days because I’m no longer making it personal.
It’s the feeling of aliveness that people are responding to. It lives inside of them already, and sometimes I’m lucky enough to be a spark for it. Sometimes you are.
Now it’s your turn.
What’s the last compliment or positive feedback you received?
Leave a comment and tell me about it.
Come on, baby. Let me see you shine. ✨️
Yours in love and play,
Steph 🐲❤️🔥
