Sometimes that’s true in business, too.
The pandemic jolted me into action. A few of my clients cancelled their payments, and I leapt into motion as a content-creating machine.
Some of that content, especially my articles about marketing as a Projector in Human Design, attracted significant website traffic. These visitors were spiritual seekers looking to grow their businesses – a perfect match for my offerings.
Those articles drew thousands of visitors each month, leading to 3-6 people reaching out for conversations monthly. Enough became clients that I could coast with very little marketing, even after quitting social media for my business.
But everything changed in 2023.
My website traffic plummeted by almost 50%. Inquiries through my website form stopped.
Simultaneously, my focus shifted to securing a visa for my immigration to Portugal, and frequent travels. I also invested in an expensive coaching mentorship.
It took a while for me to notice the impact. Eventually, my income mirrored the decline – a 50% drop that definitely got my attention.
My most reliable source of potential clients had dried up, and I really didn’t want to go back to social media.
I felt stuck and scared.
Fortunately, I had the intelligence of the entire f#*king universe up my sleeve, and a brilliant coach to remind me when I forget.
I started listening to life, and it started revealing exactly what I needed to see.
🔆 I quit trying to figure out the answers with my intellect (and more over-thinking!) , instead quieting down and allowing space for fresh ideas to emerge.
🔆 I noticed my fears about being pushy, which had been keeping me from sharing how I could help others, and stopped holding back.
🔆 I shifted focus away from my fears and put my attention on creating: conversations, writing, offers.
I stopped throwing water on my inner fire and let it BURN. 🔥
From this emerged a simple “system” for creating clients. I put the word “system” into quotes because it wasn’t a consciously designed system, but rather a natural outgrowth of what comes easily for me: writing, connection, conversation and coaching.
(Life is great like that – it gives you ideas built just for who you are and what you love.✨)
