It’s surprisingly easy to shine a spotlight on the good. Kate was surprised and delighted to discover that the technical requirements of hosting a podcast were so accessible, and at how easily it allows her to share inspiring, positive stories.
Every impressive story of making a positive difference begins with one small action. Through over 100 interviews, Kate discovered that even the most inspiring change-makers began with a small, simple action or their contribution emerged from a circumstance that looked like the worst thing that could happen.
Kate offers advice for someone who wants to do good, but doesn’t know where to begin.

Amplify the good by bringing your attention to the good that’s already happening. The minute it occurs to look, you will find kindness and beauty. When you feel good, you’ll create more goodnes in the world naturally.
Taking in more negativity doesn’t help you. The negative news is often given the focus, but we can choose to put our attention on positive media. Feeling horrible isn’t a prerequisite to making a difference, and neither does this mean hiding your head in the sand.
